Dian Hong
Dian hong is the first ever Black Tea of Yunnan.It was created in 1938 using high quality tea leaves from Fengqing. This tea was originally to be named Yunhong,which means Yunnan Red.Yunnan Tea Company later changed Yunhong to Dianhong in 1939.Dian is the abbreviation of Yunnan.

 

Chinese Red
The tea tree is oolong tea specie,the fresh tea leaves will turn into dark color after produced.It is not like Fengqing large leaf specie, which can has golden buds covered with pekoe.Tea leaves of Chinese Red from organic tea trees which live in advantaged natural environment,and the outturn of Chinese Red is less than 500kg per year.Not only the unique environmental condition,but also the stringent process makes it brilliant.In order to release the fragrance of Chinese Red,the temperature must be controlled about 150 C and the tea will be dried for 3 to 4 times.Even if steep Chinese Red in cold water,it would exhibit wonderful flavor.Chinese Red is considered the highest grade of Dian Hong.

Appearance
The dried tea appears dark color.The tea liquor is bright red in color.The leaves are reddish brown after being brewed.

Brewing Guide
We recommend using purple clay or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 2 grams of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for every 150ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 95°c (203°F) for 1 minute for the 1st and 2nd brewing.Steep tea leaves in hot water at 80°c (176°F) more than 3rd brewing. Gradually increase steeping time for subsequent brewing.Please bide boiled water for minutes to obtain hot water at 80°c (176°F),don’t mix with cold water.
